Our Mandate
The Mine Rangers Agency operates under the authority granted by the Federal Government of Nigeria to protect and secure the nation's mineral resources. Our mandate is derived from national mining legislation and security protocols designed to combat illegal mining activities.
We have the legal authority to conduct surveillance, investigations, and enforcement operations related to mining activities across Nigeria.

Our operations cover all 36 states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory. We maintain a presence in key mining regions and work closely with state governments, traditional rulers, and local communities to ensure comprehensive coverage.
We coordinate with other security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services, and the Nigerian Army, to ensure effective enforcement of mining regulations.
